Lieutenant Colonel Christopher M. Siekman Commanding Officer, 2d Battalion, 10th Marines



Lieutenant Colonel Siekman was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in August 2003 through the Officer Candidates Course Program.

Lieutenant Colonel Siekman had the privilege of commanding Battery B, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines and deployed as part of Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of WESTPAC 12-2.  He also commanded Recruiting Station Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Lieutenant Colonel Siekman’s staff assignments include S-4, 3rd Battalion, 10th Marines; Operations Officer, 2d Battalion, 11th Marines; and Executive Officer, 2d Battalion, 11th Marines.

In the Supporting Establishment, Lieutenant Colonel Siekman served as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer, Recruiting Station Orange County, and Executive Officer, 4th Marine Corps District.

Lieutenant Colonel Siekman deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (2005) and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (2010-2011).

Lieutenant Colonel Siekman is a graduate of the Naval War College, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Expeditionary Warfare School, and the U.S. Army Airborne School, where he graduated with the "Iron Mike" award as the Officer Honor Graduate. 

Lieutenant Colonel Siekman’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold start, the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars, the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat ‘V’ distinguishing device and one gold star, and the Combat Action Ribbon.  Lieutenant Colonel Siekman is also a recipient of The Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
